Presentation Night

This is just a friendly reminder regarding our 2023 Presentation Night, details as follows:

Date – Saturday 25th November

Time – 6:00 pm for 6:30 pm start

Venue – Baudin’s Room, McCracken Country Club

Cost – Members $40 per head. Non-Members $55 per head

Sign Up – The Table Seating allocation sheet is located on the Notice Board located in the Bistro.  Bookings close 17th November.  As with last year, payments must be made at the Reception Desk on sign up.  

Table bookings are filling fast so if you wish to attend, please don’t leave it to the last minute to put your name down or you may miss out.

Saturday’s Competitions (4^th November)

This Saturday we have our November Monthly Medal, Stroke is available to be played off the Blues, Whites & Gold.  If you wish to play Stableford you will be off the Reds. 

With the exception of those playing in the C Grade Championships, in order to win the ‘Monthly Medal’ all other players must be playing off the Blue Tees.  We have made an exception this week for those playing C Grade Club Championships to be eligible to win Monthly Medal. 

Slow Play

Just a reminder, players need to be aware of your group’s position on the course.  Nobody enjoys slow play so please aim to keep up with the group in front of you and not the group behind you.  Things you can do to help with the pace of play:

• If you find your group is more than a fairway behind the group in front, when on the putting green don’t all stand around waiting for everyone to putt out.  If two of you have holed out ,  move to the next tee and tee off.
• Play ready golf
• If your ball goes in a dam don’t spend time fishing every ball you see out of the dam, move on.
• All players in the group watch the ball flight of your fellow players, to alleviate time spent looking for lost balls.

Twilight

Twilight commences on Friday 3^rd November (tomorrow night).  We will be playing the Back Nine.  Men off the Gold Tees, Ladies off the Red Tees.   The field is looking good with almost a full field.  As usual Presentations will take place in the outdoor area.  On completion of your round, please bring score cards up and place them in the Card Box.  Entry fee remains unchanged $5.00.  Might pay to bring a jacket as from past experience it can get a bit chilly sitting outdoors.
